I think keeping the doubles/triples would be fine because as you said it does allow for fun and risk, instead of "ho hum, I rolled a three and suck..."<br /><br />But here's an idea- if you take the lower die to do doubles (and succeed on the TN) some complication happens. You succeed in a way that you normally wouldn't have (or maybe shouldn't have), yet you did. <br /><br />Example- Player shoots a villain hoping to knock him into a live electrical wire. He rolls a 3, 3, and 4. He needs a 6 to succeed (I don't know your TN system). He decides to take the 3 and 3 and succeed, but the bullet passes through the villain as he stumbles into the live wire and fries, hits a pipe, and now water is gushing to the floor and will soon cause a very nasty problem for the players.wrathofzombiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04882740795203687573noreply@blogger.com
